Chasdei Avrohom Eliezer Camp Fund

Chasdei  Avrohom Eliezer Camp Fund was founded in loving memory of Avrohom Eliezer Goldman hy”d, beloved son of Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe Pesach שיחיו’ Goldman who was tragically torn from our midst at the tender age of 17. Avremi was a special person, whose greatest joy came from interacting with children, and sharing with them his excitement for Judaism.

Following this terrible tragedy, Mrs. Leah Lipsker, a friend and neighbor of the Goldmans, reached out to them in their time of tragedy. Mrs. Lipsker presented many options to the Rebbe to perpetuate Avremie’s memory.

Under the directives of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, the Camp Fund was immediately established by the Rebbe’s participation and blessing and by contributing 18 single dollars to the Camp Fund. This is truly a fitting memorial and tribute to Avrohom Eliezer.

The Rebbe delegated all Camp Fund duties to Mrs. Leah Lipsker and encouraged the Goldman family to participate. The Chasdei Avrohom Eliezer Camp Fund helps orphans, children raised with single parents and families going through financial stress.

The Chasdei Avrohom Eliezer Camp Fund sends many kids to camp each year, and their memories enrich and encourage them throughout the year. Established in 1977, the camp fund has never turned away a child who can benefit from the powerful lifelong impact that spending a summer in a Torah-true environment can provide. It is our responsibility to ensure that each child be given a chance to flourish and deepen their love for Torah and Yiddishkeit.

In the past 44 years, the camp fund has given over 7,900 children the opportunity to have the excitement of a wonderful summer experience.
